About This Guide

This is an independent informational guide about xHamster, the adult video-sharing website. We publish factual, plain-language articles about what the site is, how to use it more safely, and what legal alternatives exist.

We are not affiliated with xHamster, Hammy Media Ltd, or any adult platform mentioned here. This site carries no adult content itself — it is a text-based guide written for adults who want straight answers without hype or scare tactics.

What we cover

• Facts: what xHamster is, how it works, and how its free and paid tiers differ. xHamster launched in 2007 and is run by Hammy Media Ltd of Cyprus; it is one of the largest adult video-sharing sites on the web.
• Safety: practical steps for privacy, account security, and avoiding malicious ads and fake apps. Free streaming sites live on ad revenue, and the ad networks they use are where most of the real risk sits — pop-ups, fake download buttons, and redirect loops.
• Alternatives: legal adult platforms and creator sites, described honestly. We name mainstream tube sites, creator platforms like OnlyFans and ManyVids, and ethical studios — as plain text, never as links.

How we write

Every article is written in plain language and checked against publicly available information: the platform's own help pages, reputable tech press, and security researchers. We don't publish explicit material, we don't link out to adult sites, and we don't recommend anything we can't verify. If something changes — a new policy, a new scam going around, a change in who operates the site — we update the relevant guide.

We keep opinions clearly labeled. When we say a fake "xHamster app" is dangerous, that's because security firms have repeatedly documented malware in unofficial adult APKs — not because we dislike apps. When we suggest an ad blocker, it's because pop-up ad networks on free streaming sites are a documented malware vector. Facts first, advice second.

Who this is for

Adult readers who want to understand the platform before using it — or who've run into something suspicious and want to know what happened. Parents and educators looking for a clean, factual overview will also find it useful: nothing here is explicit.
